About the job
I'm looking for hands-on care for my father in his 70s. Grandpa John is paralyzed on one half of his body and has difficulty with language due to aphasia. He is cognitively very good other than verbal communication. He enjoys playing dominoes, chess, and watching tv. Please be willing to do light housekeeping. Assistance with bathing is one of our requirements. We're looking for some occasional help preparing meals. We're looking for someone to provide companionship. Duties include transportation (doctor's appointments, errands, etc.). Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker, comfortable with pets and CPR / first-aid trained. Also a lover of old westerns or professional wrestling is a plus!
