About who needs care: About who needs care: We are looking for someone to spend time with our mom who was recently widowed and has been diagnosed with mild dementia. She has her own apartment in independent living and has adjusted beautifully. She has always been an avid quilter and was a preschool teacher prior to retiring. She also spends time with her 3 children and 7 grandchildren and enjoys going to church. Services needed include: Morning routine including running a load of laundry, emptying waste baskets, reminders to shower, and medication management, checking her social calendar and an occasional outing or doctor's appointment. The independent living offers a full menu for breakfast and lunch and you are welcome to join for meals. Mom enjoys the company and companionship! About the care needs: We are looking for a warm, friendly, caring, companion to help our mom start her mornings 3-4 days a week for a total of 10 hours per week. The specific days & hours are flexible and can be agreed upon when we find the right person. Safe and reliable car is a must, references are required.
