About the job
Hello! My name is Ruth. I moved my parents into assisted living last fall, as my mother was in a serious physical decline. My father has been basically ignored, as mother needed all of the attention. Mother just passed and dad is alone after almost 65 years of marriage. I hope to find someone who can drive him to church (he was a pastor and chaplain for 50 yrs), remind him to do his laundry and provide a couple of days of visitation each week. There might also be doctor's appointments upcoming, although he is doing amazingly well for 90. I would love someone to encourage him to get outside more. He has just taken to sitting in his room since mothers passing. I live out of state, but will be in town the week of the 26th and would love to meet with anyone who is interested in helping to give this sweet sweet man a good end to his story.
