About who needs care: My mother is a type 1 diabetic whose blood sugar varies from very low to very high. She also has short term memory issues after a hip surgery and a subsequent stroke (in addition to being very stubborn). Ideally someone would be with her during her dinner (approx. 7pm) to make sure she takes her insulin and eats her meal. About the care needs: Any pleasant and patient person would be a good fit. No real skills are needed. Currently my mom doesn't really have any specific hobbies or interests. We have puzzle books we'd like her to have help using if time allows to try and improve her short term memory Services needed include: companionship.
