About who needs care: My wife has Huntington's disease. She can still walk, but her movements are slow and her speech is difficult to understand sometimes. She enjoys watching TV, reading, playing simple games, and doing her speech or physical therapy exercises. About the care needs: My wife wants a female caregiver to work with her. She will do best with someone who is patient and easy going. I work Mon-Thurs and I usually work from home on Tues/Wed. Other friends and family pitch in where they can, but I am in need of more help to support our family and my wife. I believe our home has a positive and supportive vibe. Services needed include: Occasional meal prep, meal/medication/bathroom reminders, assistance with easy exercises, occasional bathing assistance and cleanup when accidents occur, and help with light chores when possible.
