I need senior care provider who can be a companion to my mom who recently moved to Oregon. Our care concerns are: Help Staying Active, Meal Preparation, Companionship. The days and times are flexible. We are thinking it would be best to have either 2 full days or 4 afternoons, that could be adjusted as needed. My mother lost her husband last March and wasn't able to remain by herself in Nevada. She is capable of caring for herself but the grief and sudden changes have been preventing her from doing much of anything. She needs someone who can gently help her find a reason to eat actual meals, to unpack and make friends here, to find new doctors, and to live life. This person also must have a thick skin as she isn't the easiest person to get along with especially when confronted with something she doesn't want to do or think about.
