Hands-on Care Needed For My Husband In Beaverton

About who needs care: Here is our situation My husband is disabled from a brain tumor since 2004. In 2019 he had his 3rd brain surgery for a malignant brain tumor followed by his 3rd brain radiation treatment. Since 2004 he has suffered from left sided field cut vision, seizures, short term memory loss and since 2019 he lost 90% function in his left leg and 100% function in his left arm. He also continues to suffer from seizures, but more importantly inconsistent function, spasticity on the left side, imbalance, spatial awareness, short term memory loss. His symptoms manifest as MS/SpinalCord Injury/brain injury all at once. He walks with a walker, but needs assistance standing, sitting and walking. If he is up walking someone has to be with him 100% of the time. Sometimes his legs tire out or dont work well and he will need to sit down and take a break. I carry a lawn chair with me so he can sit down if he needs a break. He fell six weeks ago and broke a vertebrae in his back and is healing up from that. He is due to start chemotherapy in two weeks. I work from home, but my husband needs more help and activity than I can do and still work. There is a lot that I need help with to take care of him, but here are a couple small things that I was thinking to start with. I dont need help getting him to the bathroom. -Reading to him and helping him research things he is interested in. His eyes dont track well to reading and because his left hand doesnt work he cant hold a book or magazine. -Taking his shoes off and putting them back on. -He has a set of chair exercises, helping him do those. -Walking around the island to get movement. -Taking him out onto the deck when the weather is nice. -Getting him a snack or water. -Putting pillows behind his back in his chair to make him comfortable. -When he is sleeping, folding laundry and putting away, picking up dishes, tidying up. I wanted to start with 1 day a week for a couple hours, 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. on Monday would work best. About the care needs: Personality is key, are you okay trying a few people until we find the right fit? My husband is strong minded, I need someone who can engage even if they have a different point of view Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, and mobility assistance.
