About who needs care: 77 yr mother, bed or wheelchair bound, has trouble standing without help but not for very long. able to make it to the bathroom (will have bedside toilet next to bed when at home) and has been wearing an adult diaper, including to be cleaned up, Has multiple symptoms, weakness, shakiness, longtime chronic back/neck/knee pain, loss of appetite. Recently confirmed diagnoses of early dementia due to confusion, forgetfulness and not understanding, but is still mostly coherent. Had colitis when in the hospital which she may still have. Dr at hospital mentioned failure to thrive. About the care needs: Someone who is friendly & patient and can easily pickup/help her up if needed. She weighs approx 150lbs. Services needed include: feeding, and bathing / dressing.
