About who needs care: Gaylon is recorder a prolonged stay at hospital. He underwent a stem cell transplant in October and was in hospital for close to 7 months. He is 6ft 2inches. Would respond better to a male than a female if possible. Because he thinks he is too tall for women to handle. He is struggling with nutrition and nourishment due to lower esophagus issue. He will turn food away or say no he is good. But once you make it and put in front of him, he will eat some. Mom and dad live on 4 acres. In East Norman. Mom is unable to give him the physical care that he needs due to her own health conditions. Her back is shot, and she has a bad shoulder and uses a cane and medical boot sometimes. The overnight care is to basically listen out for him to see if he's trying to get up without using a walker or Rollator to get to restroom or to get a blanket or a drink or whatever. About the care needs: A male caregiver would be best. My father loves hunting and building stuff. So, if anyone shares outdoor interest that would be amazing. The caregiver would have to be prepared to repeat statements over and over due to some cognitive decline. And my father, being hard of hearing and has hearing aids. Services needed include: transportation, and mobility assistance.
