About who needs care: She has dementia, is mostly nonverbal and wheelchair bound. Husband lives in home and at this time does not need care. She needs 24/7 care as he is unable to care for her. Family is very involved. She has 2 dogs and lots of grand/great-grandchildren she loves to see. She is on hospice care so comfort and safety are priority. Her day would include basic daily living activities including preparing meals, dressing, and hygiene needs. About the care needs: Compassionate and understanding. Willing to work with family and hospice nursing agency. Understanding of disease process and progression of needs. Experience working with memory care patients. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
