About who needs care: My mother-in-law has dementia. Definitely no short-term memory. About the care needs: Just comfortable with dementia patients. Enjoy talking. She may ask the same question four times but loves to talk Services needed include: companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing. Still lives independently but needs help in morning taking meds and showering. She can shower herself but never remembers to shower so she must get directed and started that way. Time needed each day from 7:30 - till she is thru showering, taken meds and dressed for the day. Again in the afternoon 4:00-4:30 to be given her evening meds. Basically an hour to an hour and a half in the morning. Just 30 minutes or so in afternoon. Will also need to check her groceries and possibly quick trip to the store to restock a few.
