About who needs care: dad had a stroke from a procedure gone wrong. he has been in rehab for two months and being discharged next week. he is starting to get his strength back. he can transfer from chair, bed to wheelchair with minimal assistance. this will be short term. my mom is 80 and cannot do this alone. he may need help getting dressed, brief changes if he does not make it to the bathroom in time and assistance with transfer to different spaces in the house. About the care needs: someone fun, kind and enjoys their job to help others. my dad weighs 124 pounds so someone that can handle transferring him. my dad is a pleasure to help, he is usually smiling and happy. every facility he has been everyone loves him.
