About who needs care: She has the early stages of dementia/Alzheimer's. She has had a very slight stroke in the past. She is a kind and gentle person and loves to watch birds and spend time with her dog. She is capable of daily chores and dressing and bathing herself. She sometimes forgets to eat though. She should not drive herself. She just lost her husband today and we are concerned about taking her out of her home and everything that is familiar to her. About the care needs: Someone who is caring and patient as she repeats herself often. Someone who has a good sense of humor and will take her to Marc's--she loves that store. Someone who is honest and willing to communicate daily with the family on how she is doing. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
