About who needs care: My mom had a stroke in late December, after turning 90 on Oct 4th. Instead of sending her to a facility, my mom, husband and I decided it was best to move her here when she was released from the hospital. She can take her meds that I prepare for her, can feed herself with food I prepare. Can sometimes go to the bathroom on her own, however I usually help her using her walker. Totally dependent on the walker. She has a positive attitude, smiles a lot, and likes to joke around. I just need help getting her up in the morning, go to the bathroom, eat some breakfast, take her meds and get her into the living room so she doesn't want to sleep all day. Asking for help, so I can go to work, and not worry about her being alone. We have 2 dogs who are very good with her, however may need some adjustment welcoming someone else coming into our home About the care needs: Sense of humor. Gently firm. If that makes sense. Mom doesn't want to get up in the morning, and makes excuses to give her more time to get up, take her meds, and eat some breakfast. No specialized skills needed that I think of. She likes watching Hallmark and doing Word Search puzzles Services needed include: companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
