I'm looking for live-in home care for my step-father in his 80s. He has a degenerative muscle disease that makes it very difficult for him to get around. He needs help transferring from his wheelchair to bed (or recliner) and back to bed. He also needs bathroom help which is done in bed with a hand held urinal and bedpan. He is fed three times per day . He is also bathed in bed. My mother has been his full-time caretaker and it has taken its toll on her. She needs help as soon as possible. We would prefer someone who can help with light housekeeping. We ask that you handle transportation as needed. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker. Live-in caretaker would have their own bedroom, bathroom and living room area on a separate floor. Kitchen space would be shared.
