Companion Care Needed For My Father In Medina

About who needs care: Does not want to communicate much due to difficulty speaking and hearing. Does not need any assistance physically--he's small but he's a machine physically and would rather work in his large yard from sunup to sundown. Does need someone to help understand things that might confuse him in the mail. No bills/payments/money management is required. Does need someone to help with the TV/DVD or iphone set up on occasion. Anything technical is a problem. Does need someone to check the house to make sure faucets aren't running, furnace or a/c is running appropriately, food hasn't been left out, and deliveries have been brought in from the porch. 1 hour a day (or less) would be the daily requirement. Perhaps more in the future. Little to no driving him around would be required--it would be a unique event like a lift to the airport. About the care needs: Someone who is familiar and comfortable with older people that don't hear well and has difficulty speaking. Someone who can be patient and be OK with no communication from him--on most days he will probably be anxious to get out in the yard and work. He is extremely indpendent... the help we're hiring would be to look for things that he has forgotten to do around the house, or technical things that he can't figure out (or has forgotten how to do). Someone who would be comfortable enough calling one of his sons if they can't make out what is concerning him. No special skills needed, no hobbies/interests required--sports/football is always something he's interested in, but that's not a requirement. He's conservative politically and has little patience for political dispute--but he won't engage or demand discussion on politics--but he may have conservative TV on at a very high volume. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
