About who needs care: We require a compassionate, experienced, and professional caregiver for our mother, who suffered a stroke two years ago. While she manages most daily tasks, we seek assistance with light housekeeping, meal preparation, local transportation, and medication reminders. We anticipate needing services one to two times per week, for up to four hours per visit. About the care needs: My mother is a kind and witty individual who enjoys community engagement, such as shopping and dining. At home, she enjoys watching television with her dog, Penny. She is very family-oriented and maintains daily contact with her loved ones. We seek an experienced direct support professional who is patient, resourceful within the community, and dependable. Due to partial blindness, she is unable to drive, making reliable transportation to and from appointments crucial. She sometimes experiences difficulty communicating extensively or explaining events thoroughly. We require someone possessing strong analytical and common-sense skills to assist with various tasks; a highly proactive individual is preferred. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
