About who needs care: My mother has Alzheimer's disease . She is unable to walk but can transfer from bed to wheelchair to toilet and back as long as someone holds her chair steady and swings her legs off/on the bed. She cannot wheel herself and tends not to leave her bedroom/bathroom area. She needs help with toileting and bathing. Her caregiver needs time each week to manage her own life. My mother typically sleeps until 1:30-2 p.m. House cleaning is also needed, . About the care needs: My mom needs someone who can be interested in her and attentive. She is still very able to converse, and she has a sense of humor. She needs someone who can appreciate her creativity and eccentricity. She also needs someone with a lot of patience and good communication skills. . Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
