About the job
About who needs care: We are looking for help with caring for my boyfriend's mother. She has been diagnosed with depression, but we are in the process of assessing whether she has other cognitive challenges (she's had increasing disorientation, etc.). My boyfriend's father also has stage 4 esophageal cancer right now. While he's responding well to chemo treatments and is able to largely care for himself, the combination of his and Patti's condition has proven challenging to manage. Patti's background is in spiritual healing. She is soft spoken and loves admiring nature. About the care needs: A very patient and gentle caregiver would be a good fit for Patti. She is very sensitive to stress. No specialized skills are needed at this stage. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
