About who needs care: I am trying to set up about 8 days of in-home care for my father-in-law during and after my mother-in-law has surgery and won't be able to help. Jon wake up around 9 or 10am, so someone to come in around then and make sure he eats his breakfast and takes his medication. He gets around with a rolling chair. He has a few underlying conditions including diabetes and MEN1 and has been falling lately, but tends to spend most of the day on the sofa. He likes to watch the news and Jeopardy. Pat (MIL) is getting a simple heart surgery but will likely be tired, so help with laundry, simple air fryer meals, and possibly picking up a Kroger order would be ideal. Sometimes Jon falls so helping him get back up would also be ideal (he is about 6' tall and 180lbs) About the care needs: Someone with a can-do attitude and is willing to see what needs to be done and take care of it with minimal instruction. Father-in-law has early dementia and occasionally doesn't make it to the bathroom, so help with cleanup would also be needed. Ideally someone who can come in an make life easier. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
