About the job
To watch over my 45yr old brother at my mom's house. He's been in the hospital 30 days for injuries from a fall. He does not need any medical assistance and has regained all mobility but can be unsteady on his feet. The companions role will be to prevent him from doing anything that's a risk to his current vulnerable physical state. He has a traumatic brain injury, rendering him unable to appreciate the severity of his injuries, make good decisions and to be left without supervision. His lack of comprehension makes him a danger to himself as he heals. A large portion of his skull won't be replaced for several months and a fall or bump to that area could be fatal. He also broke his neck and had a spinal fusion. He must repeatedly be told to wear his neck brace and helmet before getting up. We need an understanding person who can be firm.
