About the job
I am looking for someone to provide complete care for my wife, who has advanced dementia. She needs frequent feeding and changing, exercising of her legs several times per day to increase strength. It's also very important that you are engaging with my wife. A sense of humor and calm and even demeanor is essential. She weighs 90 pounds and doesn't support any of her own weight. You must be comfortable transferring her from her bed to a chair and possibly from a stair lift. In addition to the care my wife needs, there will be some light housekeeping, and possibly laundry. The laundry room is on the first floor. We have one friendly cat. We work with an agency that will act as your employer, THIS IS NOT A SELF-PAY POSITION. I will supplement their pay rate for a total of $22/hr.
