About who needs care: 89-year-old prideful woman. Unable to walk on her own. Very frail and needs help using her commode when needing the restroom (though gets embarrassed to ask anyone else but her daughter and granddaughter to help when they are around..). Hardly eats and has trouble swallowing needed pills. Currently spends all day in bed watching tv or listening to music on her kindle or watching her daily mass. Loves to tell stories about her friends and family and her life. Loves to read but barely able to see now and needs cataract surgery. (Scheduled in December..) Need someone who can provide care and hang out a few hours on requested days when daughter is out of the house needing to go to work.. Looking for services that may be covered under Medicare or highmark insurance if possible. About the care needs: Friendly and patient. Loves to listen to stories and tell stories in return. Treats patient like they would family. Strong enough to help move patient if needed. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
