About the job
My mother-in-law has late stage, early onset Alzheimer's disease. She needs assistance with all aspects of daily living including dressing, showering, and toilet transfers. She is sort of independent with feeding but has difficulty with spatial awareness and needs occasional cues to locate her food. She needs hand-held assistance with walking, but it is often easier to get around the house with her transport chair. She lives at home with two cats and a dog, but the dog will soon be out of the house. We are currently looking for someone to take over for our current live-in aide. We have other aides that help out during the day. Our care concerns are: Medication Prompting, Light Housekeeping, Mobility Assistance, Bathing / Dressing, Heavy Lifting, Meal Preparation, Companionship, Errands / Shopping, Transportation.
