About the job
Help needed for my mother who is in her 70s - seeking in home care. She is in a wheelchair most of the time and needs assistance with transferring to toilet, bed, etc but she can stand/take a few steps. Looking for caring, compassionate people who enjoy talking about gardening, books and are able to prepare healthy food, support with appointments, etc. Right now - aides work 2-3 shifts during the week (either a full shift or a mix of morning/afternoon/evening depending on schedules) and about one weekend a month (weekend availability is a must to divide up the load). We have a team of aides who support her - and we trade off weekends (but one weekend a month is required). Aides support with cooking, some light cleaning, support with bathing, doctor's appointments, etc Looking for someone responsible to join the team.
