We need companion care to help care for my mother in Port Jefferson Station. She is in an independent living community and loves being social and sharing her meals with her new friends. She has some short term memory loss and struggles with instructions, etc. Other than that she's in great health and typically good spirits. While my sister and I are handling most things for her but since we are not local, we need someone to help her that is close by. Duties include transportation (doctor's appointments, errands, etc.), helping her schedule appointments, updating her calendar, helping troubleshoot some things are her apartment (she has a tendency to unplug things at times). We are looking for someone who can have a flexible schedule around when she needs assistance.
