Care For My Awesome Dad

My dad has Parkinson's disease and dementia. He is genuinely the kindest, funniest, strongest person I know. My family and I are looking for someone who can provide quality care for him. We are looking for someone who is patient, kind, compassionate, and has experience with dementia care. My dad wakes up early at 6 a.m. and is generally quite confused in the mornings. Once his meds kick in, he gets clearer, but requires a lot of help at first in the mornings. He requires assistance with toileting and daily activities of living - getting dressed, making breakfast, medication reminders, etc. He wears depends, so must be comfortable helping him change them. He occasionally wets the bed, so must be comfortable changing/washing the sheets and cleaning up. He is independently mobile but struggles with balance, as he is often dizzy, so he needs someone nearby. He will often nap in the morning after breakfast, and during that time we would love someone to help with some light housework - cleaning the bathroom, cleaning kitchen floors or wiping countertops, etc. He benefits from a lot of verbal cues, someone who is patient and calm, and someone who will engage with him in conversation or playing a game. My parents have a small dog (so small, she's like 6 pounds) so must be comfortable with dogs. My dad loves the Bills, playing cards, going for walks, watching TV shows, and eating sweets! My dad is the best person I know. This disease has been incredibly difficult for him and my family. We just want him to be well cared for, to be safe and comfortable, and to give him the best quality of life possible. My parents have a small dog (shih-tzu/yorkie mix). She is old and sick so my parents are usually worrying about her. She has a seizure disorder, but has medication my mom gives her. She loves attention and is my dad's best companion!
