About the job
My 71-year-old mother has Alzheimer's and needs a caregiver to live with her and assist throughout the day. She is moving to Oyster Bay from Pennsylvania to live in a cottage on my property. She is in the mid stage, she is very mobile but needs guidance and help with the following: remind her of doing the proper personal hygiene, dressing appropriately, taking medication, meal preparation, and suggesting activities to do. She sleeps a lot and likes her rest, but enjoys going out to meals, short walks and other experiences (she wants to be social). In PA, we had 2 caregivers splitting the week with her, each doing live-in for 3. 5 days (24 hrs) but we are open to a different arrangement, just want to find the right person/people that have the right experience and personality to connect with her.
