Caregiver For My Mom With Alzheimer's

My very sweet 71-year-old mother has Alzheimer's and needs a caregiver to live with her and assist throughout the day. She is moving to Oyster Bay to from Pennsylvania to live in a cottage on my property. Someone who is familiar with this area is key. My mom is in the early-mid stage, she is very mobile but needs guidance and help with the following: remind her of doing the proper personal hygiene, dressing appropriately, taking medication, meal preparation, and suggesting activities to do. She sleeps a lot and likes her rest, but enjoys going out to meals, short walks and other experiences. We are very lucky she is not combative at all, she is very loving and sometimes silly - her memory is just weak. In Pennsylvania, we have two caregivers splitting the week with her, each doing live in for 3. 5 days (24 hrs). My mom goes to bed early and sleep late, and does not get up in the night. I am open to a different arrangement e. g. someone who does live in 24/7, someone who only comes during the days and someone who stays at night, etc. I just want to find the right person/people that have the right experience and personality to connect with her. Around the house I just expect that you tidy her room, do her laundry, and prepare her meals. We will have someone else do the cleaning. Also being able to travel with her to visit family in other states is important.
