About the job
About who needs care: My father is in in-home hospice care. He's 89. My mother is his primary caregiver. Need someone to give her a break. Person needs to be able to help him get up and to the commode (right next to his bed), or assist with use of urinal. Also to help wash or clean him if needed. He is in a hospital bed, but in the last few days has been acting erratically. Needs to be watched mostly so he stays safely in the bed while my mother rests. About the care needs: Person just needs to be kind and strong enough to help him stand for w few seconds to sit on the commode or get up and get back into bed. He seems to have stopped walking in the last few days. The pain meds are altering his personality and he's pretty out of it now. So common interests are not a consideration. Services needed include: feeding, and bathing / dressing.
