About who needs care: Give lunch (soup & crackers). Then, sit down to do some watercolor painting (Mom just needs guidance ie. dip the paint brush in water first then swirl in watercolor paint. I will provide the drawing. Put some music on. Mom speaks Croatian/Bosnian/Serbian. I prefer if the caretaker would speak one of those languages. Mom dropped English (knows some words/sentences). So it could be music and dancing and or watching TV with some fun show like animals or music. About the care needs: I would like to know they can guide Mom to do some painting. Caregiver doesn't have to be an artist but crafty to do some kind of easy crafts with a senior to keep the mind occupied. Also, Mom has a mild Dementia, so I would hope the caregiver has patience because you have to repeat to Mom what she needs to do. Services needed include: companionship.
