About who needs care: She has stage 4 lung cancer, spread to her brain. Had for 2 years now. Recently lost use of her legs and can't walk due to necrosis, but will be in rehab to help. She likes going outside for walks, but is using a wheel chair right now. She needs help with meds, insulin for diabetes type 2 when it's bad due to steroids for brain swelling due to the necrosis. About the care needs: Looking for a kind, patient female caregiver who can help move her from bed to commode, or anywhere else by way of a stand assist unit. She currently weighs 135 pounds, so caregiver should be capable of assisting her with mobility. She may need insulin, and will need help with giving her meds. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
