About who needs care: Edema of the lower legs. Temporary catheter. Reading literature, creative writing, listening to Jazz, watching TV. Day is mostly sitting around watching tv and reading, but if weather is good- sitting on bench in the backyard, taking a walk, or going to a nearby cafe. About the care needs: L is hard of hearing, has trouble understanding heavy accents, and short term memory loss. If possible the ideal would be a patient, empathetic, slow speaker who is truly familiar with truly communicating with people of advanced age. A sense of humor would be nice too. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
