About who needs care: This is for my brother who is on the Autism spectrum, high functioning but he recently had a stroke and his short term memory and cognition are severely affected. He is into classic American cars and is an extreme 'old Hollywood' movie and actor/actress buff. He loves live drag shows and music concerts by old time performers. He is retired and going on Social Security retirement. He has little daily structure. About the care needs: We are looking for someone with patience and compassion primarily. They would need to monitor his medication refills, get and sort his mail, take him for walks, make sure he has food, make sure he is taking care of his personal hygiene. He also gets confused about using his computer (MAC) and often is confounded by simple problems. Need someone who can assist in making sure his hearing aids are charged and that he is wearing them. He has a walker, as he is unstable. Needs help using an ATM to buy food and things. Needs help with managing his doctor's appointments and understanding his schedule. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and mobility assistance.
