About who needs care: Mother is in hospital. Will soon be discharged to home hospice care. Has multiple heart issues. Has been given several weeks to 3 to 6 months to live. May be too weak to stand up after 11 days in the hospital in bed. Having trouble urinating so hospital put a Foley catheter in her. Will have be lifted to use a bed pan for bowel movements. If she can be lifted may be able to be taken outside in wheelchair. May need oxygen if she becomes short of breath. Looking for someone kind and strong. Home hospice care would be good. She hasn't been eating much sore throat. Has to fed. Has had IVs in her hands in hospital. Is a sweet person. Loves knitting and park outside. About the care needs: Strong enough to move my Mom in bed or transfer to wheelchair and push wheelchair up ramp and out of building to park or playground several blocks away. Interest in knitting would be nice but not mandatory. Kind person. My Mom loves the TV shows Blue saloons and Chicago Fire. Services needed include: companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
