About the job
Hands-on care is needed for my mother, post-stroke in her 70s who lives in Mount Sinai. This CDPAP position is paid weekly on the books, $20. 22 per hour. You must have your own transportation and be comfortable driving her to the stores, recreational activities, doctor's appts., etc. You also must be okay with friendly cats. Shifts: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. Assistance Needed With: Showering Dressing Meal Prep Light Housekeeping OT/PT Exercises Speech Therapy Using the bathroom (helping with pulling down/up pants on right side) Getting up from furniture (stand and pivot) Companionship Planning out daily/weekly activities Must be friendly, outgoing, proactive, and professional. Position perks include free movies, vacations with the patient (if applicable), and other paid outings/events with the client.
