About the job
I am looking for a part-time companion/driver for my 93-year-old Mother. She lives by herself in The Greens in Melville. She is visually challenged and wears a hearing aid, but still very independent. She likes to go on slow walks around her neighborhood, to the mall & on the boardwalk. She doesn't use a cane but will take your arm. She likes to read (large print) & is up on all the events in the news. There would also be a doctor's appointments once a month. Perhaps someone who can also take her to the library and the senior center. Looking for someone who can help her on a part-time basis and perhaps help with lunch. The hours are flexible & we are thinking 2-3 days a week in the afternoon 3-4 hours a day (to start). She prefers a non-smoker.
