Companion Care Needed For My Mother In Ithaca

About who needs care: Harriet is a delightful 94-year-old woman living with advanced Parkinson's disease. She is bound to her bed or wheelchair. She lives at Brookdale, and while her husband, Irving, is in rehab for a broken pelvis, she will require a companion to be with her and press the button for the health aide when she needs assistance. The health aides take care of all bathing, dressing, and medical needs. Playing music, chatting or reading to Harriet would be lovely :) About the care needs: Someone who enjoys sitting and being quiet/reading for long periods of time. Someone who can handle the reality of an aging person who is very ill. If they enjoy playing music and reading aloud that would be very nice. Services needed include: companionship.
