Help needed for my patient in his 60s - seeking full-time companion care for frontotemporal dementia. The applicant must have prior training/experience with dementia. Need someone who can come in and know what to do from the get-go; understanding there is time to feel out how we work with this disease. Responsibilities include some feeding and toileting. Someone to do specialized exercises with him. Looking for a caring and compassionate companion. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker, comfortable with pets and CPR / first-aid trained. Capable of handling 160 lbs. who sometimes is unstable on his feet. First preference will go to someone with certifications in home health aide and CNA.
