About who needs care: Mother has late onset Alzheimers. Mother lives like a hermit. I don't think she eating properly. She stays in bed until 2 p.m. and stays in nightgown all day. She doesn't go out and socialize. She stop talking to her friends and even family. She doesn't answer the phone when we try calling her. She can bathe, dress herself and cook for herself but I don't think she feels like doing it so she doesn't. She likes watching the Buffalo Bills, likes doing crossword puzzles and Sudoku but I don't think she done those in a long time. She has been a widow for 34 years and I think she is lonely and depressed. She likes her independence. She also needs the apartment cleaned. She use to be a neat person but not anymore. She is hard of hearing but doesn't always wear hearing aids and also her ears may be plugged up. About the care needs: Someone who is friendly, has a great sense of humor. Someone to get her out of her shell. She likes talking politics and history especially about Civil war and Gettysburg. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
