About who needs care: My grandmother has something called white matter disease. She gets terrible headaches and suffers from memory loss. My grandfather still helps but is also almost 90 and they need some help around the house with cooking and cleaning and overall care taking. The ideal candidate would be willing to live and travel between NY and FL year round as they spend winters in FL and summers in NY. My grandmother still tries to structure her day normally but has to rest much more than usual. She loves gardening, cooking, and cleaning around the house but she cant do it anymore. About the care needs: They need to have a medical or nursing background as my grandmother needs some care, especially as her disease worsens. From a personality standpoint my grandmother is a Christian and has a deep relationship with God. She is very laid back and incredibly kind and loving. Someone older with a similar personality would be a good fit. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
