About who needs care: She has limited mobility and has chronic pain. She has a pacemaker and congestive heart disease. She also has had balance issues and is somewhat incontinent. She likes to do embroidery, puzzles, crafts. We are a busy household with a dairy farm and multiple businesses. We are in and out of the house frequently. In case of emergency we can be contacted quickly. She gets up at 7 and goes to the bathroom. She then likes to have her coffee and meds and some breakfast. After breakfast she either gets a shower or just gets dressed. Then she usually relaxes (watches TV or some activity) until lunch. Has lunch and then may nap. She is pretty easy but can't be trusted to go to the bathroom by herself because of her risk of falling. She has a hospital bed, lift chair and we have a large walk-in shower. She uses a walker. She may need someone to take her for doctors appointments. About the care needs: The ideal caregiver would be a pleasant personality that is a good conversationalist. Some willing to pitch in and do some light housework when mom doesn't need attending to. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
