About who needs care: Mom was an independently living, kind hearted and beautiful woman living in her own apartment until Aug 30th, 2024 of this year. She had an active social life, went to church weekly and volunteered in several ministries. She went to the salon weekly and got manicures and pedicures every month. On Aug 30th, Mom started having panic attacks. She was admitted to the hospital on Sep 9, 2024 for delirium, hallucinations, paranoia, major depression and anxiety. She is much better now, very stable on her new medications, but still has periodic confusion. About the care needs: The caregiver needs to be patient, have good listening skills and a sense of humor. If the caregiver is a good cook and likes to play cards, that would be helpful. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
