About who needs care: I have hernia surgery on the 4th of December and need someone to be my chaperone home from the hospital. I don't yet have the time I'll be released from the hospital. My wife will be home but she is also recovering from recent surgery, so she can not pick me up. Our interests are reading, music, and travel. The ideal for Day One (12/4) is to come to the house around noon to meet my wife and see if she needs anything, e. g. lunch. They would then come to the hospital (NY Presbyterian-Brooklyn on 6th Street in Park Slope) to escort me home after surgery. Estimated time is 3:00 p.m. Day Two Onward- 12:00-4:00 p.m. - Prepare lunch, clean the kitchen and run errands as needed. About the care needs: Friendly, communicative, proactive, patient, and a good listener. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
