About the job
We need a companion care provider with Dementia experience for my father in his 70s. My mother lives with him and currently does most of the caretaking but she is overwhelmed now and we need someone daily to relieve her. Mostly you will walk him to the local senior center and help him with daily tasks. Experience with managing and administering medication is required (this includes just reminding him to take his medication in the morning - it is prepackaged so you will not have to sort out multiple pills or anything). Some light tidying up is involved. We're looking for some help preparing his meals (nothing fancy). Looking for a caring and compassionate companion. Part of your responsibilities might include running errands. We also need someone who, on occasion, can stay over if my mother needs to travel.
