About who needs care: My mother was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease about 12-14 years ago. She still drives (I'd rather her not). She also does most of her own laundry. But she's 84 years old with Parkinson's and I don't think she's up to the task anymore. She could also use a hand to do some light cleaning and maybe a good cleaning maybe once a month or once every two months. She really doesn't move around too much and doesn't go out often except to the store and Bingo on Tuesday. I think having someone around a couple of hours a couple of days a week would help. I would need to speak to other family members about getting assistance for payment. My mother's only income is Social Security and unfortunately, I am unable to pay for the care because I take care of all the household bills plus some of her other expenses. About the care needs: Someone who likes to chat. My mother used to be very social Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
