About who needs care: My 92-year-old Mother is in a wheelchair most of the time. She can stand & take a few steps but needs assistance to do that. She needs help with toileting. She may need lunch given to her, but once served she can use a fork, spoon and knife by herself, she may need help with cutting meat. She enjoys watching TV and word puzzle books. She talks to friends & family members on the phone. She is considered a diabetic but does not take insulin at this time. She has Multiple Myeloma (a blood cancer like leukemia) but it is in remission. She had one knee replacement, but her other knee is bad. She is filled with arthritis, is weak in her arms & legs and has difficulty with mobility. She has a sharp tongue. Most of the time she is cognizant, but she once in a while she talks nonsense. I am her primary caregiver but need someone to assist me and to allow me sometime to leave & do things on Wed & Thurs afternoons. About the care needs: Outgoing, caring & talkative. Not overly religious or conservative. They SB familiar with some CNA practices. I know this shouldn't matter, but are an anti-Trump household. My mom likes antiques, tennis, animals. We have a 4-month-old Kitten named Coco. She likes to bird watch. Services needed include: companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
