Hands-on Care Needed For My Mother In Bellmore

About who needs care: She has been experiencing dementia for a few months post retiring at the end of Sep 2024. They never had a social life or kept friends so have nothing going on which depresses them on top of the dementia and have taken on a bit of a pity party/ giving up trying mentality which is making them not interested in doing normal daily activities unless pushed to do so. She has exhibited extreme decline in easiness of walking since Dec 2024 and shuffles to walk. Refuses to wear sneakers and use a cane. Very stubborn her whole life. Kind towards others her whole life but confrontational with family. Needs to be pushed to get her day started at a reasonable hour and wash up and get dressed. Reminder to take meds. Has many puzzles, game books, knitting to do, but lately wont try to do anything. Encouragement to take a walk and do activities is needed. If possible to take her on a few errands and to hair apt. About the care needs: Someone with patience, gentle as she is a little off balance when walking. Someone that doesn't mind maybe some quiet time with her and conversation. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
