About who needs care: My mother has dementia. She is struggling with some medical issues (feet are in a lot of pain, memory loss, loss of bowels occasionally, anger outbursts.. etc), We are looking for someone to come in and help our mom with companionship, light housekeeping, medication reminders, light meal preparation... etc. We just want her quality of life to improve some and help her as much as possible to have company and someone to keep her company. Her health issues are a main concern at this point in time. She loves to read, loves Jeopardy, loves old time music and movies. She loves her home and enjoys pictures of her grandkids while sipping iced tea in the kitchen. About the care needs: We need someone with LOTS of understanding of dementia and LOTS of patience as she does have anger outbursts occasionally. She needs some help with the bathroom so that would also be a big part of being patient, understanding, and caring. Someone who can help around the house as much as possible and keeping her organized. She also needs reminders about not giving out personal information over the phone and answering robo calls. She has fallen victim to fraud a few times. We would love to have someone who might be able to read to her or talk about books. We are looking for someone who is proactive in care with someone with Dementia... brings out the good quality of life she deserves. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
