Adult male with brain injury and compromised immune system needs companion care with minimal assistance in home one day per week at this time. Prompt for meals, medications if needed (typical med regimen is 6 a.m. and 6pm), prompting with ADLs; primarily independent toileting, dressing, eating, needs minimal assistance on occasion moderate assistance is needed due to brain injury. Assist with light breakfast and or lunch prep; encourage, monitor and assist him to do this independently as much as possible. Self ambulates occasionally uses a cane and needs a spotter. Companion activities, go for walk, games, puzzles and activity books, memory activities. Would like to start with one day per week until a care giving relationship is established. We can be flexible regarding which day/s as needed. Hunting, fishing, nature/outdoors, sports, games, puzzles, walking, Patience, empathy, caring demeanor, attention to detail, provide both consistency and flexibility when needed due to nature of illness. Ability to relate and connect to patient, while maintaining a safe and caring environment. Awareness of heath / hygiene as Patient has compromised immune system Care will occur at patients home, single story residence with no more than 5 steps with handrails. Adequate parking. Care giver must have reliable transportation. No pets
